Centro Studi Galileo and ATF extend their heartfelt congratulations to Madi Sakandé and Saïd El Harch on their re-election as President and Vice-President of the Union of Associations of African Actors in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (U-3ARC). Their continued leadership marks a significant moment for the advancement of the refrigeration and air conditioning sector across Africa.
The 4th General Assembly (GA) of U-3ARC was held from November 7-9, 2024, in Tunis, under the theme “Refrigeration Unites Africa for its Development.” The election, organized by a dedicated committee led by Ms. Clotilde Guidi Tognon, reaffirmed the roles of the key leaders after a successful four-year term.
Under the stewardship of President Sakandé, U-3ARC has made remarkable strides, including international collaborations like a Memorandum of Understanding with Centro Studi Galileo and active participation in global events such as the ASHRAE Winter Conference in Chicago. This leadership has driven efforts to enhance industry standards and promote sustainable practices across the continent.
The newly installed Executive Board, now set to guide U-3ARC for the next term, includes:

- Deputy Communication Secretary: Sokhna Fall (Senegal)
- Women’s Mobilization Secretary: Raoudha Massaoudi (Tunisia)
- Deputy Women’s Mobilization Secretary: Sarah Nakanyika (Zambia)
The General Assembly wished the new Board success, acknowledging the significant challenges and opportunities ahead for the RAC sector in Africa.
