Gender Equity in HVAC: AHR Expo Hosts Discussion on Male Allyship

The upcoming AHR Expo in Orlando will feature a panel discussion addressing gender equity in the HVAC industry, focusing on the role of male allies in supporting and advancing women in the sector. Scheduled for February 10, 2025, the session will include key speaker like Marco Buoni (CEO of Centro Studi Galileo and Past President of AREA) and Yosr Allouche, Director General of the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR), alongside other industry professionals.

Titled “Stronger Together: How Male Allies Help Advance Women in HVAC”, the panel will be moderated by Colleen Keyworth from the International Network of Women in Cooling (INWIC). The discussion will bring together three male and four female panelists, exploring real-world experiences, challenges, and strategies to create more inclusive workplaces in HVAC.

With growing awareness of the need for diversity in technical industries, the session will highlight the impact of mentorship, workplace policies, and industry-wide initiatives in fostering professional growth for women. The discussion aims to provide insights into best practices that companies and individuals can adopt to support a more balanced workforce.

The event is part of the AHR Expo’s free industry seminar program and is open to all registered attendees.
