The winners of the 3rd edition of the Women in Cooling Video Competition (WiCC25) were officially awarded during the 21st European Conference on Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technologies, held at the Politecnico di Milano on 12 June 2025. Organised by World Refrigeration Day (WRD) in collaboration with AREA – the European Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Contractors, the initiative reaffirmed its role as a key platform for promoting diversity and inclusion in the RACHP sector.
WiCC25 aimed to highlight the expertise, creativity and achievements of women professionals from across Europe, through short video submissions showcasing best practices and design excellence in the field. A total of 11 entries were evaluated by a panel of 12 independent judges across two categories:
- Category A – RACHP Best Practice Mastery
1st place: Chloe Jennings – United Kingdom
2nd place: Milena Boettcher – Germany
3rd place: Millie Edwards – United Kingdom - Category B – RACHP Design Excellence
1st place: Hannah Romberg, Katharina Breuer, and Anna Halle – Germany
2nd place: Aleksandra Milic – Italy
3rd place: Araceli Pino – Spain
First-prize winners received a €1,000 cash award, generously offered by WRD, and were invited to attend the official award ceremony in Milan. AREA, through its Italian member ATF, fully covered their travel, accommodation and participation costs. Second-place winners received €500, while all winning and shortlisted candidates were presented with a commemorative plaque to honour their achievement.
The winners expressed great satisfaction for the recognition and visibility provided by the competition, sharing their stories and to encourage other women professionals to take part in future editions of the initiative, underlining the importance of sharing knowledge and building networks within the sector.

WRD and AREA extended warm congratulations to all participants for their contributions to an inclusive and future-focused refrigeration and cooling industry.
