From PROZON:
The 4R Plant by PROZON The Foundation for Climate Protection uses cutting-edge technology to separate and reclaim refrigerant mixtures:
- Rectification separates components with different boiling points.
- Adsorption separates molecules of similar boiling points using molecular sieves.
Thanks to these technologies, the plant can process up to 200 tons of refrigerants per year, recovering and reusing nearly 100% of the material. This reduces greenhouse gas emissions by an additional 74,000 tons of CO₂ annually, and together with the existing 3R network, almost 400,000 tons of CO₂ are saved every year.
The 4R Plant’s advanced technology and processing capacity allow collaboration with the HVACR industry not only in Poland but across the entire European Union, supporting sustainable practices and refrigerant management at a continental scale.
The site also features the RE-ELECTRO 4 LIFE hall, where components from dismantled AC and refrigeration units are tested and certified before being reintroduced to the market — a prime example of the circular economy.
