XXI EUconfRAC: Centro Studi Galileo Strengthens Collaboration with IIR and UNEP

The CSG-UNEP meeting in Paris

Centro Studi Galileo (CSG) continues to strenghten partnerships with the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) and UNEP OzonAction, advancing global efforts in refrigeration and air conditioning, mainly focusing about sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity within the HVAC/R sector.

In preparation for the upcoming XXI European Conference on RACHP scheduled for June 12-13, 2025, in Milan, key figures such as Mr. Marco Buoni (CSG) Ms. Yosr Allouche (IIR), Sonja Wagner and Jim Curlin (UNEP OZONaction) have been actively coordinating the event’s structure and speakers.

The event, co-organized by IIR, UNEP, AREA and CSG, will also include a special session on Women in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, emphasizing gender inclusion and the promotion of engineering careers among women. Additionally, the meeting with Ms. Allouche was insightful as we had the opportunity to interview her on the main results of the MOP and COP. The IIR objective analysis will be featured in an exclusive interview that will be published in the first 2025 issue of Industria & Formazione.

Also, the meeting between UNEP OzonAction and CSG reviewed joint activities for 2025. The focus remains on enhancing participation from developing countries, particularly Article 5 nations. Discussions included the inclusion of speakers from global networks like ASHRAE, AREA, and INWIC, as well as a cocktail reception to commemorate CSG’s 50th anniversary.
