The “KIGALI AMENDMENT – Industry Advocates for Climate Protection in Albania” conference took place on 9th – 10th November 2023, with two days of specialized meetings.

Centro Studi Galileo collaborated with the National Ozone Unit of Albania for the organization and took part in the event on November 10th, with the speeches of CEO Marco Buoni, further Secretary General of Associazione Italiana dei Tecnici del Freddo and Foreign Affairs Manager (as well as Past President) of AREA, and Silvia Romanò, Chief International Affairs for Centro Studi Galileo. In addition Marino Bassi, Expert Trainer for Centro Studi Galileo and renowned HVAC/R international expert, participated in the event.
In particular, Session 6 – Training and Certification Schemes was moderated by Marco Buoni and included the following speeches:
- The European scenario – Mr. Marco Buoni, AREA
- The Albanian proposal for certification Scheme – Ms. Armela Maxhelaku, National Legal Consultant, Lecturer Faculty of Law, University of Tirana
- Women in cooling, competence, diversity and inclusion – Silvia Romanò, Centro Studi Galileo
- Training on LOW GWP alternative refrigerants – Marino Bassi, Embraco & CSG Expert Trainer
- Compressor with CO2 and Hydrocarbons. The needed competence – Francesco Sanzo, Dorin
In addition, Centro Studi Galileo also coordinated the following session, Experience in Training Technicians in RAC&HP in cooperation with NOU, concluded with the Award Ceremony for Albanian technicians certified under the EU Regulation on fluorinated gases.
