As part of their end-of-year international activities, on 16 December a joint delegation from ATF – Associazione Tecnici del Freddo and Centro Studi Galileo (CSG) travelled to Paris for a series of institutional meetings with IIR – International Institute of Refrigeration and UNEP OzonAction, aimed at coordinating joint activities for the 2025–2026 biennium and developing editorial and training projects with an international scope in the HVAC/R sector.

The meetings, conducted by Marco Buoni, Silvia Romanò and Luisa Girolami, were focused on several key objectives, with particular emphasis on the preparation of the International Special Issue 2026, its eleventh edition. Discussions covered the definition of the overall framework, content outline, invited authors, forewords, possible special sections, and ideas for the cover.

The ATF–CSG delegation met with representatives of UNEP OzonAction at the Paris offices of the United Nations Environment Programme, including Jim Curlin and Sonja Wagner. The discussions focused on ongoing activities and future collaboration prospects, with specific reference to the OEWG in Bangkok and the Meeting of the Parties (MOP) in Kigali, assessing the possibility of announcing new joint projects and initiatives in collaboration with other sector organisations and associations, including AREA and ATF.

A few hours later the IIR headquarters in Paris, a working meeting took place dedicated to future joint activities between IIR and CSG, attended by Director Yosr Allouche. During the visit, an interview was also conducted for the journal Industria & Formazione, in which Marco Buoni spoke with Yosr Allouche about key current issues in the sector and the international outlook for refrigeration.
